Before and after school care program features

Windermere’s Before and After School Care programs can be tailored to your school’s needs and include:       

  • Outside school hours care (before and after school program incorporating snacks, structured play activities and learning)
  • School holiday/vacation care (including snacks, meals and program of incursions and excursions)
  • Accessible programs which support children with additional needs. We work with families to create an individual inclusion plan.
  • Support for children for additional care needs, such as specific cultural practices, family beliefs or personal lifestyle choices.
  • Cost effective session rates.

We currently service primary schools in Melbourne’s south east.

Out of school hours care learning framework

Windermere’s OSHC program is informed by the approved OSHC learning framework, My Time, Our Place. The program provides opportunities for children to collaborate with educators through meaningful interactions, play and leisure activities.

All planned experiences align with national framework outcomes. Experiences will include a variety of activities to support children’s developmental needs and interests. Typically this includes:

  • Small and large group games
  • Cooking groups
  • Art and craft
  • Construction and woodwork
  • Books and literacy activities
  • Science, nature and technology
  • Group sports programs
  • Project work and homework help.
