We need help to create 400 food packs and gift 600 children with a present this Christmas

What is Merry Mission?

Merry Mission is our annual food and gift drive, bringing Christmas joy to families and individuals facing hardship such as family violence, homelessness, financial stress, or other life-changing circumstances. For over ten years, Merry Mission has provided more than 10,000 gifts and 4,500 pantry packs, made possible thanks to the generosity of our local community.

How your support helps

Last year, we distributed over 320 food packs and 684 gifts. With demand continuing to rise, our goals this year are to support over 400 families and 600 children with the resources they need to brighten their festive season. Every contribution helps provide children with gifts and families with a special meal to share.

How you can help

Donate food

An essential food pack can make the difference between a family going without or sharing a Christmas meal. This year, we expect to support over 400 families and would greatly appreciate donations of non-perishable items such as:

  • Personal care items (e.g. sanitary items, toothpaste)
  • Long-life milk or juice
  • Cereal or oats
  • Tinned protein (e.g. tuna, beans)
  • Rice, pasta or noodles
  • Jar of sauce
  • Pantry staples (e.g. olive oil, honey)
  • Festive treats (e.g. pudding, biscuits)

Donate gifts & toys

We aim to provide over 600 children (0–16 years) with a gift this Christmas. Please consider practical, easy-to-store items such as:

  • Building blocks or LEGO
  • Reading or colouring books
  • Sports equipment (no bats)
  • Puzzles or board games
  • Sensory toys
  • Physical gift cards (great for teenagers)

Please ensure all gifts are new and unwrapped.
