A trek to change lives: Nakasendo Way and the Kaida Plateau, Japan

A dedicated and passionate team of supporters is preparing to embark on a truly memorable and challenging adventure from 25 - 31 October 2026 to raise funds for families and children in need.

Building on the spirit and success of past fundraising expeditions (the Kokoda Trail, the Cape-to-Cape Track and Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair), this group is now setting their sights on one of Japan’s most iconic ancient trails: the Nakasendo Way and The Kaida Plateau. This extraordinary six day route weaves through historic post towns, mountainous landscapes and cultural heritage, offering both a personal challenge and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
