Jacqui wanted to use Plan Management so that she could worry less about keeping track of the complex paper work and budgeting required to administer Boyd’s NIDS plan.
“As plan managers we ensure that service providers are paid correctly and on time. This includes checking and processing invoices and sending monthly statements by email or post to consumers, so that they can manage their budget and track their spending,” says Sarah, Windermere Plan Manager.
Jacqui was also struggling to understand how to access the supports detailed in Boyd’s NDIS plan.
“When Jacqui and Boyd started Plan Management services with us, we realised they were not able to take full advantage of our services and needed some assistance to understand more about what was detailed in Boyd’s NDIS plan," says Sarah.
Fortunately Jacqui attended an introductory Plan Management information session. The sessions are designed to assist families to understand more about Plan Management and what the supports in an NDIS plan mean.
“At the session we were able to help Jacqui to better understand Boyd’s NDIS plan. We also linked the family into other service providers. This meant Boyd could get the supports he needed in a very short time frame,” says Sarah.
